Beautiful listing photos can get a property onto your shortlist. Your ordinary routine helps you decide whether it belongs there.
1. What do you want to walk out to?
A quiet patio, an open outlook, neighbors nearby or a short trip to an activity? Think about the outdoor space you would use and when you would use it.
2. How much home do you want to manage?
Compare the type of property and the documented maintenance responsibilities. A familiar label like “villa” or “townhome” does not answer every upkeep question.
3. Which activities will make it into your week?
Start with the things you already enjoy and the ones you genuinely want to try. Ask how access works and what the relevant costs are.
4. What is attached to this property?
Association documents and recreation obligations deserve their own review. Confirm them for the address you are considering.
5. What should a first visit answer?
Bring a short list and leave space for surprises. Visit different settings, record your impressions and talk through the tradeoffs before narrowing the search.
